New Year

I find myself attending the new year party hosted by the Malaysian Consulate in Jeddah. The party turned out to be not bad at all. There were people singing, and the rest of the folks were happily playing volleyball. Me, as usual, end up being the photographer, and was busy walking around taking pictures.

A new year means a new resolution. Ah, I have it written here right in front of me, but it's not gonna go anywhere near the web, sorry =).

Officially 10 Kyu

Yes, after making an effort pulling my rank towards my goal, I'm finally there. Officially, I'm a 10 kyu. The feeling is good. To obtain such a strength after 10 months of playing is really worth it. My next target is now to become a shodan (1 Dan) by end of next year.

By the way, here's an image of my progress so far.

A moment of satisfaction

As I mentioned in last month's blog, my ultime goal for Go this year is to become a 10 kyu. Well, after maintaining a 5 win streak, my rank went from 11kyu to 10kyu. I was overwhelmed with the 10kyu promotion, and started playing a 9 kyu right away. Usually, for my previous promotions, I usually give my account a one (sometimes 2) day rest, so that my rank becomes fix on the server. (the day you're promoted, your rank is still unstable). As for my game with the 9kyu, I lost, and my rank fall back to 11kyu. Nice work, Imran. Way to go.

By the way, here's a screenshot of my glorious 10 kyu promotion.
